Pilot Buddy Privacy Policy
Effective October 28, 2026
In short
- Pilot Buddy makes no network connections; on Android it requests no permissions — not even internet access.
- It cannot send any information off your device.
- No account, no analytics, no advertising.
This policy covers Pilot Buddy for iPhone, iPad and Android, made by Chris Gonzalez, an independent developer (“I”, “me”).
The short version
Pilot Buddy does not collect, store, share or sell any personal information.
Why it can’t send your data anywhere
Pilot Buddy contains no networking code and makes no network connections. On Android it requests no permissions — including internet access — so Android does not allow it to connect to the internet at all. On iPhone and iPad it asks for no permissions either.
- Turn and wind calculations are worked out on your device.
- Airport, runway and frequency information comes from a database built into the app.
- There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no crash-reporting service.
Data on your device
The numbers you type into the calculators and the airports you look up are used only to show you a result on screen. Pilot Buddy does not keep a history of them.
The only thing Pilot Buddy saves is that you accepted its simulator-use disclaimer, so it doesn’t ask again. That setting stays on your device.
Your device’s own backup (iCloud Backup on iPhone and iPad, or Android backup under your Google account) may include the app; Pilot Buddy has no personal data of its own to back up.
Children
Pilot Buddy is not directed at children and does not collect information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If Pilot Buddy ever adds a feature that changes this — for example, live data that needs an internet connection — this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date above will change.
